This test was conducted on 3 pieces of thread mills provided by the customer.
The core requirement was cutting edge passivation, with a specified target edge radius of 7 μm.
To accurately meet the requirement, we used a PL-24AX passivation machine with 15000-L abrasive for the passivation process.
During processing, precise control of equipment parameters ensured uniform passivation and fine polishing of the cutting edges.
With the cooperation of the abrasive, the edge radius of all 3 tools stably reached the preset standard of 7 μm, and the original serrations and burrs on the cutting edges were effectively eliminated.
Subsequent verification showed that the passivated thread mills significantly improved the surface finish of machined parts and optimized chip evacuation during cutting.
